On Thursday 19 January 2023, at 5 pm, the review of “The concerts of the Academy” resumes hosted in the Ridotto dei Palchi “Arturo Toscanini” of the Teatro alla Scala.
The very young students of the two-year specialization course for opera singers will present chamber arias to the public, with pages by Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Verdi, Respighi, Rossini, Fauré, Obradors, Rodrigo, Quilter and Cherles: the program can be downloaded here
Accompanied on the piano by Beatrice Benzi, Greta Doveri and Fan Zhou (sopranos), Pierluigi D’Aloia (tenor), Giuseppe De Luca (baritone), Huanghong Li (bass) will take turns interpreting.
The review will bring the young Scaliger soloists – and the accompanying maestros – back to the “Toscanini” Ridotto on 23 February, for a tribute to Massenet created in collaboration with the Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française in Venice, curated by Alexander Dratwicki, scientific director of the Palazzetto Bru Zane.
Admission to the concerts at the Ridotto is free, subject to availability of seats and upon collection of a ticket; for more information, please consult the Teatro alla Scala website.
