A recital in Coimbra

On Wednesday 20 July, at 9 pm, the Opera Soloists will be the protagonist of the kaleidoscopic Festival das Artes in Coimbra, Portugal, organized by the Iñes de Castro Foundation.

“Alla Scala das míticaz vozes” is the title of the concert which will see the soprano Fan Zhou, the mezzo-soprano Mara Gaudenzi, the tenor Andrea Tanzillo and the baritone Giuseppe De Luca engaged on the piano, accompanied on the piano by Jeong Un Kim.

On the program, pages by Gluck, Händel, Mozart, Cherubini, Puccini and Gounod.

With this event, the Advanced Academy for Opera Singers closes the calendar of events 2021-22, but for young students it is not yet vacation time. In fact, in September – at the Teatro alla Scala – a new Academy Project, The Secret Marriage of Domenico Cimarosa, on which the soloists are working together with the other colleagues of the Music Department of the Academy, under the direction of Ottavio Dantone and directed by Irina, will make its debut. Brook, with sets and costumes by Patrick Kinmonth.
