ccademia Teatro alla Scala introduces the new Advanced Course in Hairstyling Techniques for academic year 2015-2016, further enriching its extensive Hair & Makeup curriculum.

The course prepares students for a career as specialized hairstylist in the theatre and for the performing arts generally, acquiring competency in both natural hair and wigs.

Technical and artistic coordination is in the hands of Franco Restelli, director of the Hair & Makeup Department of Teatro alla Scala.

The many techniques studied during the course are applicable across the entire breadth of the performing arts: not just opera, but also plays, cinema, television, fashion and photography.

The course combines the quality ensured by highly accomplished instructors with the convenience of having lessons only one day per week. Students who are currently employed will thus be able to continue working as they pursue their creative ambitions.

Each student will be given a complete kit of all the tools and materials necessary for the lessons. The kit will be returned to Accademia at the end of the course.
