Maestro Olivieri, through a choreographic reading in which the fairytale and romantic style prevails, tests the virtuosity and expressive qualities of the students in different moments of the two acts of which the ballet is composed: in the first act the dance of the fairies of the four seasons, calls from the Fairy Godmother to turn the dream of Cinderella into reality and lead her to the ball, and in the second act, the court dance, the dance of the three oranges, the gift of the prince sisterhood contend,
The figure of each character is outlined through Leitmotive and musical themes that follow the events narrated in the story: so Cinderella is characterized by three different themes, the first that underlines the sense of oppression and loneliness, the second the hope in a brighter future and the third is the fall in love and the joy of the serenity achieved. The sisters, on the other hand, are outlined by far-fetched and clumsy tones, while the stepmother comes on stage accompanied by harsh and threatening modulations, in stark contrast to the melodious and reassuring notes of the Fairy.
The scenes are signed by Angelo Sala, the costumes of the main interpreters have been designed by Maria Chiara Donato. The sculptures were made by Fausta Cerizza, a former student of the stage set designer. The costumes are made and processed by students and former students of the course for tailors of the show, as well as by Sartoria Brancato.
