On Sunday 2 October, at 8 pm, the Teatro alla Scala will host the traditional Institutional Concert, an important test for the Soloists and the Orchestra of the Academy.
Maestro Sesto Quatrini will be on the podium for this 2022 edition.
The event, which can be accessed by invitation, intends to involve relatives, friends and supporters of the young students in their progress, matured during their specialization at the Academy.
The orchestra professors – who are coming to the end of the two-year advanced course – will then accompany the sopranos Nicole Wacker, Greta Doveri, Aleksandrina Mihaylova and Fan Zhou; the mezzosopranos Mara Gaudenzi and Valentina Pluzhnikova; the tenors Paolo Antonio Nevi, Brayan Ávila Martínez and Andrea Tanzillo; the baritones Sung-Hwan Damien Park, Giuseppe De Luca and Jorge Martínez; the bass Matías Moncada.
The program pays homage to Italian opera production from Gioachino Rossini to Francesco Cilea, passing through Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini and Ruggero Leoncavallo.
