On Saturday 1 October 2022, the Children’s Choir of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala returns in concert in Mesero, directed by Bruno Casoni and accompanied on the piano by Marco De Gaspari.
The young singers will also be joined by the Academy’s string quartet, composed of Da Wong Ghang, Kinga Dobryniewska, Giulia Guardenti and Sofia Bellettini.
The event, which will be held in Piazza Europa, is part of the celebrations for the centenary of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, whose remains rest in a chapel in the cemetery of the Milanese municipality.
The rich musical program ranges from Verdi and Rossini to the compositions of Edward Elgar up to the contemporaries Morricone, Rutter, Papoulis, Schulze and Schwarz, to conclude with the iconic “Mamma” by Cesare Andrea Bixio.
