The Accademia Teatro alla Scala launches a special session of selections for admission to the Academy of Lyric Opera.
The hearings will be held at the Teatro alla Scala starting from 25 September and will be divided into two tests, preliminary and final.
For the first round, candidates must submit 4 opera arias, three in Italian and one in another language. In the final test will be asked to singers to perform opera excerpts chosen by the committee.
Italian and foreign singers, men and women are both admmitted if born after September 1, 1982 and in possession of a ddiploma from the Conservatory and experience of participation in opera productions.
It'll be given preference for admission to the winners of one of the first three places in the final ranking of major national or international voice competition.
The application for admission, complete with all required documents, must be submitted no later than September 10, 2012.
