Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 April the Orchestra will be back to the Royal Opera House in Muscat (Oman) for two major concerts.
In the appointment of 18, the young musicians will be conducted by John Axelrod interpretating An American in Paris and Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin and the Fourth Symphony "Italian" by Felix Mendelssohn. With them one of the most authoritative Russian pianists of the moment, Alexei Volodin.
On the evening of Thursday, however, Pretty Yende, Simone Kermes (soprano), Leonardo Cortellazzi (tenor) and Daniel Kotlinski (bass-baritone) will join the musicians, conducted by Massimiliano Caldi, and they will perform symphonies and arias from the most famous works of Rossini, Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi.
For the orchestra is a welcome return in the hall that hosted them last November for Giselle, played by the Corps de Ballet of the Teatro alla Scala; this joins the honor to be working again with Axelrod, one of the most authoritative conductor of the contemporary scene, after the highly successful concert of the last May at the Teatro alla Scala, which saw the young students with Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock for a program among classical and jazz.
