The Accademia Teatro alla Scala Children’s Chorus, established in 2010, carries on the tradition of the Teatro alla Scala Children’s Chorus, founded in 1984.
The young singers meet twice weekly to study basic voice technique, music reading, and chorus singing, all in line with preparatory training for specific Scala performances.
Artistic direction for the course is carried out by Maestro Bruno Casoni, conductor of the Teatro alla Scala Chorus, and introduces students to chorus singing for the opera and symphony.
Each season, the Scala plans engagements for the Children’s Chorus and includes members of the course in its regularly scheduled productions.
