The Education department was founded in order to sustain the development of specific projects that diffuse the theatre and music culture and to offer a methodological support to the Academy’s training and education efforts.
Coordinated by Carlo Delfrati, Education courses are aimed at teachers and students of every type and level; musical education is provided to these users as they participate in listening appreciation courses, music workshops, song and musical theatre, field trips and meetings with artists and musicians. The goal, of course, is to bring students and their teachers closer to the theatre world’s arts and professions. Active learning and innovative teaching methods are used to creatively involve everyone in the learning process.
Teachers and students also have access to age-appropriate educational material designed specifically to assist learners in gaining a better understanding of theatre and music productions: elementary students are introduced to Rossini’s Il turco in Italia, and Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Verdi’s Falstaff are brought to middle and high school pupils.
Various types of training and specialization courses are also offered to educators, one of these being a course for organizers and teachers of music workshops.
