Accademia Teatro alla Scala
The Orchestra was established as part of the advanced courses for musicians and it is currently the only reality that only reality that specialize in the entire orchestral repertoire (symphonic, opera and ballet) for the future career.

The Orchestra has performed in prestigious theaters and festivals well known all over the World; among others, the Scala Theatre, the Conservatory of Turin, the Teatro Grande in Brescia, the Greek Theatre of Pompeii, the Ravello Festival, the Kissinger Sommer Festival. It has made numerous tours, including one held in 2008 in the UAE and, with the Teatro alla Scala, in 2009 in Denmark, in 2010 in Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) and in 2011-2012 in Oman (Muscat).
Each year, the Orchestra takes part into the "Academy Project", an opera included into the official playbill of La Scala, interpreted by the students; it is also often called for the Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company's productions, as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Giselle and Onegin.
Among the most recent headlines of the Academy Project: Così fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali, L'occasione fa il ladro, L'italiana in Algeri, Don Pasquale and The silken ladder.
The orchestra has witnessed such luminaries at its podium as Yuri Temirkanov, Fabio Luisi, Gustavo Dudamel, Gianandrea Noseda, Stefano Ranzani, Ottavio Dantone, Giovanni Antonini, John Axelrod, Susanna Mälkki, Giuseppe Finzi, Daniele Rustioni, David Coleman, Mikhail Tatarnikov, Marco Guidarini and Pietro Mianiti, and soloists of the caliber of Lang Lang, Herbie Hancock, Alexei Volodin and Olga Kern.
